Hello
I just wanna watch movies but I got work and school and am so tired 😩
the only true currency in this bankrupt world is what you share with someone else when you're uncool
what an insane movie. deep down feel like I should absolutely despise it but somehow it made me so emotional, felt so vulnerable. definitely gonna stay in my mind for a while.
The concept alone is enough to make this an intriguing watch and Bong does such a great job at exploring so many moral and political themes. Was having an absolute blast until it all came crashing down by the third act. Truly wish they kept the focus more grounded and didn't fall into the "humanity is at stake" trope. Rob still gave an absolutely freaky and one of the best comedy performances maybe ever. And Bongs style works really well.
This was one of my most anticipated films of the year and was not disappointed at all. It presents the darker part of growing up and deals with toxic masculinity, substance abuse, suicide, trauma, and more in an incredibly obscure way while keeping you engaged and even entertained throughout. It perfectly captures what it's going for through its flashy yet precise visuals and a unique soundtrack that fits the tone perfectly. I can't not talk about the performances from Dean-Charles…
"If you ever left me, I'd tear my heart out and never put it back."
Moved it up to my top 5 because it just hits all the right feels. Most of all, it's a film about the mundane and all the beauty hidden in the everyday life of an ordinary guy. It's simple and poetic. And there's so much symbolism as well.
