  UM EXCUSE? to be continued? The run time was already boorishly long and they couldn't even finish the story jezz...

  Haven't seen the musical in years but I recall it being remotely compelling. The only reason I can't rate this bellow 3 stars is the stunning set design and choreo. Hands down highlight was dancing in the library's circular bookcases. Like what, I want those bookshelves. Everything else was ehhh. Potential beautiful moments were overshadowed by complete lack of subtilty in script/ acting. I wanted to resonate with Elfie's plight but surrounded by such campy vibes, it didn't land quite right.

  I was baited by the positive reviews. In today's political climate, I was hoping Civil War would bring something poignant. But it fails to produce anything tangible, let alone be enjoyable in any aesthetic or thought provoking sense.
