    This movie is a terrific existential daymare… I enjoyed this more than the book. I tried watching it with an alternating current of perception: knowing the book, then pretending otherwise. Hated the Meta 4th wall breaking bullshit of the book, which does not occur in the movie. It played much better and left very surreal ambiguities, especially when I watched it using the layman’s current. After seeing this, I’m convinced Kilgore Trout is one of the most poetic fictional characters…

    Metaphor sounding loud and clear Mr. Peele! But, why did everyone treat the dad like he was a worthless halfwit piece of shit? I have daddy issues just as much as the next, “damaged-goods-child-of-divorce”, but the dad was the chillest, funniest, most earnestly sweet person and i hope he finds people that actually love him. I would’ve loved a dad like him growing up. Anyway, I was locked in very thoroughly for 2/3 of the movie but the big reveal…
