There are inconsistencies with the original, but here's the thing... it was just such a fun experience (just like the original movie) that I didn't really mind (ish). I mean I did, but the entire thing was just so extravagant and ostentatious and glamorous, I adored it.
However, I must admit that it needs more Meryl Streep, but that last scene at the church broke me into tears. It was quite moving.
