Michael Mann doesn’t disappoint and both Tom Cruise and Jamie Foxx work well together in this thriller. Pacing and camera work are both excellent, one song in the second half of the movie could be removed but that’s just me. And Cruise successfully pulls off the villain even if his hair and white scruff is a bit much.

Nolan’s first feature, a non linear neo noir film in black and white, is a preview of his signature style. Knowing he couldn’t afford more than a few takes per scene on 16mm film. he impressively captures a compelling thriller in less than 120 minutes.
