A couple of things I would’ve done differently (mostly with Gigi’s character) and of course it’s very 2009, but overall I honestly really fucked with this! Wish someone showed it to me in college. There’s a lot of truth laid out here that I wish I heard when I was younger. Janine smashing the mirror and then immediately getting the broom and dust pan…I will be thinking about for a long time!

I genuinely feel mentally worn out trying to process the emotional complexity of this situation, as I empathize with everyone’s point of view. And kudos to Ry for having the bandwidth to not only do a public deep dive into her own personal trauma, but also capture the story as an impartial director.
