  uhhhhh it's fine. there was some cool shit in there but it was also really dumb and predictable in some ways that made it a bit of a drag at times. i also think it hurts the movie that the villain is revealed early on and is legit just a black guy with a hook. like he's not scary at all. no hate to bro i just think there should be a little more mystery. the bees went crazy though

  certainly an unsettling, disgusting film as david lynch presumably intended it to be. i assume it's meant to capture the negative emotions surrounding parenthood in difficult circumstances but, to be honest, i think i'm past the point in my life where i find intentionally making myself disgusted and uncomfortable to be valuable. i also simply think this thing is too long and has scenes in it that didn't feel like they contribute meaningfully to the vibe.

  audrey hepburn is utterly enchanting as always. i think i could watch her do and say anything forever. i think this made her the perfect choice to play the eccentric, flighty love interest that we in the modern day might describe as having a splash of bpd. of course, this is the 1960s and we're not meant to draw many conclusions in a romantic comedy that aren't directly written into the script, so it's a little on the nose, but…
