my sister to me while watching this on christmas holiday: “you’ve got to add this to your letterboxd”
the biggest surprise of this whole movie is that the hot frosty is not a gay man (i am still not wholly convinced that he is only into women)

Awakenings 1990
i love robin williams. i relate heavily to his portrayal of oliver sacks’ in this movie, and not just because we’re all cancers, or because i love research, although those connections are interesting.
i don’t have the energy for a big analysis but i love the takeaway from the film: that we are all asleep in some way and we can be more aware, or “awake” in our every day life.
