it accomplishes exactly what it sets out to do and does it perfectly. there are so many great details from the sets, the actor performances, the cinematography, etc. I really do think it’s not just a great Christmas movie but a great movie period

home for the holidays and unfortunately my mom made me watch this with her lmao (but I love her so I did it)
even giving it a fair shake and trying to overlook the overt religious propaganda vibes it’s just not a good movie. overuse of cheesy vo narration, really hokey dialogue, jokes that are overall really clunky and flat. judy greer is gorgeous tho and the kid actors did their best but I’m probs not ever going to watch this again (unless, again, my mom asks to, and I will because I love her) but certainly not of my own volition

Furiosa: A Mad Max Saga 2024
anya taylor joy is AMAZING but imo the film is missing a lot of the elements that made fury road so perfect to me. and to be fair fury road is one of my favorite films ever so it’s always going to be tough to follow up on that and I might be more critical of FURIOSA than some as a result
too much dialogue, too much exposition, too much of getting caught up in its own lore and easter eggs. still thoroughly enjoyable but imo it is simply Good not Great. still worth seeing esp on a big screen!!
