Why is this movie a badly shot teen drama from the early 2000s? Did a realtor make that opening scene? The sound imbalance is off for a few random scenes, does this ghost have super hearing where it levels out?

When I picture a movie like Companion I picture elegance, sleek shots, impressive characterization, and solid world building. This film had SOME of that.

Chuckling at people saying this movie was remotely slow. If you just hate other cultures, admit that before you open your stupid mouth. NONE of the predator movies have a fast start. While they are not inherently slow burns, they don’t have immediate action. They build the world and have minor character work usually. In this case, the character work was shown through actions.

Period pieces make me sick, but this one has everything most are missing. That it’s not boring me to death.
Score is absolutely killer.
The pace in this movie has a nice steady flow to it, slowing at the correct points to emphasize loss.
