This fell a little flat for me. I felt like it couldn’t decide whether it wanted to be a serious biopic or more of a musical fantasy (think Rocketman) - I would have liked it to lean into the whimsical elements. To reference the quote about summer, I felt like nothing was really singing here - where was the joy of the music? Carey Mulligan was excellent.
PS - I will be adding, “who abandoned Snoopy in the vestibule” to my list of movie lines I quote on a regular basis
