What in the world did I just watch? I was tricked into it with the understanding it was funny; and short. Thank goodness for the short part. It was as long as I could stand the continual nerve grating conversations and actions. I was happy it ended.
According to my daughter, I’ve never been an Eighth Grade girl in 2010. So I didn’t experience this personally, thank god.
Points to note: 1) Sex education through a video is absolutely hysterical. Culture is so hard to explain, and near impossible to fully understand from that explanation. “Grave of the Fireflies” shows a bit of that culture through the eyes of animated children. Animation softens the horror, animated maggots and flies that appear when directed are a clear case of this.
