There were some characterizations and scenes that I could see coming off as too heavy handed but to me it felt like the movie was playing with its cards up and still winning. It felt like it was doing all the cool parts from triangle of sadness and tenet and arrival while still having fun. Totally worked.
I liked that the characters off screen were still progressing. It made it interesting every time they switched focus instead of a sidebar…
Definitely a kill count horror movie. Way funnier than i expected, but also very anxious in the middle which was an uncomfortable vibe with what they were going for the rest of the time. I guess it made it feel more like a horror movie, which is something.
The plot was actually good under all the slasher comedy. The runtime was good too but i think they should have given more time to the last act where the characters had warmed up.
Its pretty bad. I liked the original and i really liked civil war so i was excited for this but man they really dont understand how to make movies in this stage of the universe. The exposition is so heavy handed, the cameos and setups are all jarring, the writing is terrible and honestly the casting kinda blew. No chemistry for anyone. Still, the writing is definitely more to blame.
