Re-watched immediately after reading the book. Very close adaptation. Simplified in a few places. Altman’s main additions are the layering of media, radio, over the narrative, and commercialism in the pervasive coca-cola presence. Casting is great, and everyone brings the characters from the book to the screen perfectly. Ending is slightly different from the book, but still heartbreaking. Not the pinnacle of Altman’s 70s output, but still excellent.
Some more Claudio Fragasso & Rosella Drudi madness. Not quite a giallo, not quite a slasher, but entertaining nonetheless. If you have lived through Troll 2 you know what to expect.
Few things are burned into my memory as deeply as Leeloo saying "Multi-pass".
