  emma stone was the standout here, but when is she not? 
  overall a bizarre concept and stories. not sure i loved it, but definitely had a groovy cinematographic “look”

  breaking my letterboxd silence to hate rate this movie. horrible!! i should’ve walked out it was so mind numbingly boring. the same 15 minute fight sequence over and over. i the only good parts where the parts that seemed like straight out of a video game (fight with boss one: gold tooth man) and the cool overhead tracking during the chase scenes. embarrassingly bad dialogue. 

  also warning: if you see this in theaters, bring ear plugs because it is a near 3 hours of constant gunshots

  “I think it’s clear after watching Dune 2 that America has finally healed from 9/11” 

  I really do not understand the hype around this. It’s just Star Wars Pt 5 Trillion on a sand planet. I was given zero reason to care about any of the characters; there was very little structure between the relationships of characters - in Dune 1 he just meets this group of people and then within 30 minutes of Dune 2 he’s their messiah?
