  Liotta. De Niro. Pesci. All of them star in Scorsese’s best - a raging, snappy, oft-hilarious piece of filmmaking that has aged like a warm, rich vat of prison sauce on the burner. Unflappable in its dialogue, timelessness, and perfection, GoodFellas deserved Best Picture, and, well, every other award given out in 1990. Don’t be mistaken - it is, simply, one of the greatest films to ever be released.

  DR. STRANGELOVE for the 21st century. even though it hasn’t hit the peak of popularity and critical laudation that, uh, that one movie this guy made reached, this is in every way a worthy successor. SO cool that Bong got to make a bozo movie like this - with full Hollywood studio funding no less - about social perception of the body, identity theory, immigration, and political celebrity. oh, and then he gets to go back home and make a film that will get nominated for ten Oscars again. plus, it absolutely RIPS in IMAX.
