Rewatched this for class after the summer 2023 craze, and this film rly falls flat for me… a supposedly feminist film, but the allegory of men/women role reversal contradicts itself after Barbieland gets restored. And the fact that this movie is a form of self-critical mass media despite being entirely corporate-backed rubs me the wrong way 🥲 quite hard not to be cynical given all that, but its exploration of existentialism and power were good
