Solid film. The story is captivating, the score is great (loved the leitmotifs), and its written with just enough comedy and just enough reality. My main issue with it is the ending.
I do understand it - you can see Porco's/Marco's plane at Gina's island and the VO alludes to Porco having turned back to Marco, I think at least - but it felt like they got bored of writing a story and decided to quickly tie up loose ends…
yea i don't have any complaints, it's a wonderful film. timeless messages, genuinely funny narrator commentary, amazing score, great story and pacing. it's a little corny at times, but that's what you get with a kids movie about a rat making ratatouille. it's not corny enough to hurt the rating.

I'll be honest, I wanted to watch this so that I could accurately shit on it during the Oscars. My watch did not disappoint! Though the cinematography is OCCASIONALLY (not frequently) good, the film at large is awful.
