    Koyaanisqatsi made for people who have been bludgeoned in the head repeatedly with a piece of lead pipe.

    Finally got to see the directors cut in theaters and wow have I glossed over just how good these films are. 

    Seeing it on the big screen really paired well with the scale of this move, and the sound design really got a chance to shine on large speakers (Nazgûl shrieks in particular). This additional sense of scale made me enjoy a lot of the more melodramatic scenes and dialogue I might otherwise catch myself scoffing at.
