Rlly enjoyable watch, had fun watching this esp bc the aliens were dope and bc there were so many rob pattinsons. But ngl the political/societal commentary was just a bit too on the nose for me n I think this movie could have been just as effective in its storytelling n message without mark ruffalo doing a trump impression the entire run time. Still great movie tho

Watched this w my students and all I could think about the entire time was just the amount of parallels to Israel’s colonization of Palestine, it’s actually kinda uncanny like wow. The shit the main antagonist was saying was genuinely so similar to the words of Ben Gvir n Yoav Gallant. CGI does nottt hold up tho and I hate hate hate the weird ass love story in this. Also hate how they portrayed Jake as a good guy even tho he also sucks so bad
