Everything Shane Meadows creates is packed with so much emotion and rawness, beautiful yet feels like your being punched in the stomach repeatedly. The man’s a genius.
Not many filmmakers can tackle such a dark subject like this with so much respect and patience and not make it feel cliche or rushed.

This was such a fucking slog to get through, I had to force myself to finish it. Don’t get me wrong I love weird and wacky films but this shit didn’t hit at all, everything felt so bland, uninspired and forced, chucking vile shit in for shock value - almost like it was made by an “artsy” bellend film student that thinks that everything they make is so deep and meaningful, when in reality it is utter shite.
Tell me why Seth rogan is the only funny thing about this film (these words have never been uttered before)
