  It was funny and entertaining enough that I didn’t feel dragged down by the prescient deep themes, but instead by the meandering plot.  

  There was one particular shot where Robert Pattinson’s head morphed into Ren’s in my brain given the interviews I had read.

  A Being John Malkovich for the social media and cancel culture era.

  I really wish someone would do one of these movies where the second half doesn’t devolve into a mess.  Maybe it exists and I haven’t seen it?
