Another movie that is a difficult watch. Intensely unsettling material. I couldn't get through it mainly because any of the themes besides ‘is it ok to sexualise AI children?,’ seem to be sidelined. Even what feels like the central theme felt distastefully one sided. I think it would have been more interesting to have a more complex multiple viewpoint narrative on that rather than the very shaky premises around memories and meaning.

    I cant review as I didn't even get…

I started this and was so utterly unamused. I thought life's shit let’s put on a comedy to cheer up. After 15 minutes. I stopped as I hated the whole concept. It is depressing to watch neuroticism without charm. Zero charm. Read some reviews and feel I must just fall into that camp of haters here.

I can’t rate it because 15minutes is such a terrible effort on my part. One day I just might try again… maybe.

Brilliant. Fun but deep. A wild journey paralleling a stark commentary on our morally bankrupt social structure. Exposing the exploitative myths we tell ourselves and each other with varying degrees of awareness. Hard to fault this film…. The acting, the cinematography, the score all assisted in creating such tumultuous dark comedy. Sadly laughing will most certainly not make things better.

Brutalist, surreal, strongly its own film. Quirky and cerebral with community at its core. I will watch again when I am not sleepy. Distinctively framed/shot. Brilliant inclusion of non-actors and off the cuff ideas while staying cohesive and true to narrative.

Great to see it at MIFF 24 with QnA. Very Lucky.
