Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse 2023
Frustrating! Here's a movie that has at once too much plot and yet doesn't even tell a complete story. The animation is amazing, though, and I loved the look of Across the Spider-Verse even more than Into the Spider-Verse. There are some great Spidey variants in this one as well - I especially liked Pavitr Prabhakar as the Mumbattan Spider-Man. Garbage-quality SOV nonsense that isn't bloody, isn't horrific, and does not feature anyone puking on their Aunt Gertrude. Strange Beasts 2022
I really liked the presentation of this one! The mix of new footage, vintage footage, and multiple styles of animation, complete with great audio and a narrator with a terrific voice all combine to make a gripping story about a unique subject. Better than Tiger King.
