Manchester by the Sea 2016
Pretty strong movie. Realistic depiction of loss with no extra dramatization. Casey Afflec absolutely kills it in his role. It’s a good example of a movie not overtly trying to paint a whole picture of what’s going on for the audience and explaining everyone’s lives with exposition. There’s not a lot of dialogue but they’re able to convey a lot. It’s a strong 3 1/2 almost a four.

Mad Max: Fury Road 2015
Fantastic movie, timbo motivated me to re watch it. I usually hate action movies and scenes but this film actually does it right by telling a story without exposition and building a unique world that isn’t your usual junk. Also, this is a good example of using female protagonists(ish) and it not being in your face about it or feeling like it’s forced into the story.
Hannah: “2/5 because everyone is ugly in the film, it only gets 2 stars because Tom Hardy is good looking”
