I was not expecting to see the best comedy of the year so early! The meal scene has perfect timings.
Bong Joon Ho is really a master for tones, it's so hard to create a movie always on the edge of the absurd while making you still care about the characters paths.
I was afraid of the "Coloniser destroying the native" trope a little but it's handled well.
5 stars casting on their A game having a blast made everything enjoyable.
I still don't get it, both the hype and the movie.
I guess it does a great job at making you question everything and being confused but i'm probably too stupid to understand the resolution.
I will say though – not many movies felt like this after seeing. Like i've just had a fever dream and i only remember part of it, was I even watching it?
Even reading about it online it still didn't click.
