I used to love this when I was younger. Swings back and forth wildly from some of the most tense and difficult to watch horror I’ve ever seen to literally using the same FNAF jumpscare sound effect twice in like a 15 minute span. Fun watch for a sleepover probably.

The Last Emperor 1987
The beginning and ending are solid story-wise, but a big chunk of the middle loses me. The main draw of the film, the visuals, are consistently gorgeous throughout. It’s just not that interesting sometimes. I have a hard time caring about whether Manchuria will regain its independence or what affair Puyi is having this time. Maybe I need to fix my TikTok attention span.
