  After watching it again I understand why some people do not like it. The dialogues are truly terrible and essentially repetitive. The action scenes also leave much to be desired in terms of duration and choreography. The reason I like this movie anyway is the vision of the future (or the past, considering it happens in 2021) that it offers. The corporatism, the grime, the low tech movement, the high tech gear. This film lacks polish but it overflows with imagination.

  A rare kind of silent movie that really moves you to contemplate. It invites you to make comparisons between what you have seen and what you know while being just ambiguous enough to be open to diverse interpretations.

  The opening monologue was referenced in a choice theory textbook I was reading so I had to come back and rewatch this. Mark definitely makes some big choices in this one. Good watch for a study break.
