    Considering this is just Al Pacino mooching about cosplaying a leather daddy with almost zero story - it’s mostly milieu and queer fear - it’s pretty decent. Shame it’s half cooked. It could be so much more: Hitchcock with c-rings. But what it is, is worth a look - despite all the problematic problems which are as glaring as they are numerous.

    Went to a screening today and was – no other word for it – disappointed. 

    I think it could work like Chekhov or Buñuel as a satire on modern life and bourgeois inertia. But is it doing that, or is it a straight narrative I’m supposed to enjoy?
