Everything Everywhere All at Once 2022
Truly a piece of modern art. It is difficult to talk about the movie without spoiling it, but it beautifully tackles themes of intergenerational trauma, connection and meaning. It explicitly discusses secular nihilism and arrives at a conclusion that is somehow intelligent and intuitive, originally reframed, and gorgeous to watch. Everything from the script to the plot to costume and makeup is absolute god tier. Depriving yourself of this movie is actively harming yourself.
