I think Curry Barker as an actor was much better at being creepy when he wasn't playing into it too much. The moments where he's in character as the prankster are much more effectively unsettling and off than the ones where he's going full Psycho mode. But nevertheless this is a solid piece of micro budget filmmaking. The mask felt like way too much and the two friends discovering everything felt extraneous. But still impressive in how much it manages with so few resources.

Mickey 17 2025
I'm truly thrilled that we have a famous well respected actor who loves using funny voices the second he gets the opportunity. I just wish he lent his talents to a movie that had enough focus to not pick up and abandon characters and plots near constantly. People will endlessly complain that 'Oppenheimer' didn't include Japanese perspectives, and then never consume Japanese media about the bombings.
A disturbing look at the bombing of Hiroshima, which pulls the classic move of contrasting the horror with the banal day the people were having. Mothers breastfeeding, kids playing, to them the day was no different than any other. And then the movie goes full body/gore horror and shows just how devastating and horrific the effects of the bomb were. From melting eyes to burned bodies the movie goes hard. Consume Japanese media about the bombings, it'll ruin your day.

This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
A tragic story about a woman falling in love with a man who has had his personality surgically removed. Leaving only obnoxious twee timidity as a remnant of what may have been a full character.
If I had to watch one more montage set to boring generic music I may have joined Florence Pugh in death by cancer.
Very fitting that the only notable thing about Garfield I remember is that he worked for Weetabix, creators of the most bland nothing cereal on earth. Wonderful symbolism at play.
