La Haine 1995
The suspense that this film built is incomparable. The torture scene was truly hard to watch but well materialised the true and illogical hatred of police officers, whilst here marking the separation between race and class hatred through Vinz’s absence. Truly love the role reversal at the end. Not sure how I felt about the length of the movie as it was only 1.5 hours but the constant waiting for something to happen dragged the film on quite a bit.

Very heartwarming movie, amazing acting by Al Pacino and touching plot - a must-see classic. Only negative was it was quite long and slightly slow at times.
