blown away in every single way possible. everything about this show is simply flawless: the cinematography, the writing, THE ACTING. boss kuno writes these characters with such tenderness, with such understanding, that even during their worst, most toxic decisions, they are painfully human, painfully loveable. bua’s story arc is one of my favorite ever. such a special piece of media and i am so sad that it’s so over but i am so grateful i get to hold onto this forever.

The Brutalist 2024
what a slog. beautiful cinematography weighted down by an awful, mess of a story. felt like an oscar movie mad libs. so full of itself at times it felt unwatchable, filled with meandering storylines that go absolutely nowhere. no heart at all. felt like corbet was making something solely for the sake of the praise he knew he would get. you can argue that that’s the point of the film, but it doesn’t make it good.
