Cool concept (but they don't trust us to get it without the opening explainer), and a bunch of fun ideas (the 'cartoons', the language, the implied infrastructure). Not enough to sustain the runtime, sadly. Glad they didn't show us what they really look like. It'd be way better if they thought through exactly what the parents are needed for -- the food is delivered!
Fun movie magic. Ridiculous synth imagery and sound. Cool sets. Great cast of character actors. Reminds me of Oliver Stone's Wild Palms.
Crichton clearly likes the idea of corporations using technology & simulation as a means of control and exploitation -- and does a better job of exploring that here than in his Westworld. The evil company in Looker sees people as helpless animals with instinctual responses that are no match for the right psychological-physiological 'exploit'.

Have always liked it, and still do -- mostly.
Partially successful in portraying an accelerated version of the present: vicious totalitarian policing extended to the metaphysical sphere, and (of course) skyrocketing inequality. But the film is not that interested in investigating the existing injustice in the world, and more in using high-concept scifi to motivate (admittedly -- exciting and well-crafted) action. Most uncomfortably, the public at large, especially the poor, are generally treated like props in slapstick action scenes.
