13 Hours: The Secret Soldiers of Benghazi 2016
If you have a military/police dad I would recommend watching this with him 10/10. It's extremely emotional at the right times near the end and the action is really really exciting. It doesn't feel awkward to watch this with anyone and it was an enjoyable movie from all angles. The acting was superb and the visuals were really effective. Got me jumpstarted into watching other military films but none of them ever turned out as well as this one.

Grave of the Fireflies 1988
One of the most powerful films I've ever watched. The story was captivating and was emotionally distressing. What really stuck out to me was when I searched it up after I read up on all of the theories on it because I was so interested. Reading up on the movie's backstory and analysis made the experience so much richer and tragic. One of the best movies I ever watched.
