  Somehow this film failed to make me emotional. I just didn't click with it nor felt what I thought I was supposed to feel. The actors’ performances were AMAZING and there wasn’t one single shot that didn’t look fantastic but sth about it felt forced; as if its essence were halfhearted.
  I didn’t feel anything for the protagonist, like i never really got to know her (that’s literally what the plot’s supposed to be about), not even in the ending.…

  In the Mood for Love 2000

  Beautifully shot and very pleasing visually but overall underwhelming. There wasn’t any palpable yearning, it lacked momentum even in the end. It was repetitive at times which was a little maddening. There wasn’t any build up in the chemistry between the protagonists, their bond felt flat.
  I really wanted to enjoy this film but I found myself trying to give it more depth than I could find through the experience of watching it.
  The main idea was great, just wasn’t executed that well.

  The dialogue was the best thing for me. So many things the characters were saying made me think and reflect upon LIFE and what tf im doing with mine.
  This is an ode to love and human connection in general. I felt very deeply while watching this, it just hit the spot for me.

  This film is so superficial and devoid of any motive or intention that it feels aimless to watch it. It’s not engaging or stimulating in any sense, the disturbing scenes feel ridiculous and fail to impress the viewer beyond bland disgust. The only nice things about it for me were the camera work and the aesthetics”” (i hate that word so much but i literally cant name anything i feel is decent about this one).
  Cant even watch this for the vibes because even that feels unpolished.
