  The discomfort watching this film was high but purposeful and a necessary part of capturing the discomfort of being in middle schools and always trying to be more than just yourself. Rlly powerful. I heard the director gave the kids animal personas to help them through the emotional direction of the shoots like “alright today in this scene you’re a lion” idk if that’s true tho
