I was so immersed in their relationship with all the pain and trauma and growth it had to endure, and I felt for the characters so much bc they were so relatable. They’re real with real feelings of shame and yearning and care and they’ve captured it so well with how close up the shots are filmed. Everything’s being said in their eyes and their expressions and that was so much more emotive than any dialogue. And the soundtrack is insane especially that one song she plays for him at the hospital.

This movie has one of the richest and most layered dialogue ever. It’s so mature and riveting without being cheesy. i feel like it’s so easy to hate paul because of the emptiness of his goals and and aspirations, and I think that suits the flow of the movie because we’re not meant to see him as the victim even though he technically is. Also, internet fame and its impact is usually a pretty boring and overused theme to me but i really like how subtle it was here, because it’s less about the fame and more about recognition.
