I love going back to revisit this film, it’s so relaxing to me, and after writing more myself the depiction of Chris’ creative process really got to me this time. Also forgot that this has an amazing score.

I don’t even know, I’m just incredibly hungry for this type of relaxed and incredibly earnest filmmaking. Even with the questionable role of the yuppies, there’s just that hint of free love in them and in the writing that manages to have sarcasm and humour without sacrificing the care.

I’m real sorry to the writers but the sexual manic pixie dream girl shit, with barely a personality and little more than bedroom eyes and only sexual-assault-importance to the plot? No thanks. It doesn’t work and it’s such a little-boy way of looking at women.
The brother plot is a little better but not enough to hold up the rest, it should maybe just be more focused on them.
It also somehow seems harder to get to Glasgow from a place literally in the UK, than when I return to uni from Christmas in Denmark.
