  Katy O’Brian is a star! Very dark body horror mixed with horny crazy love. It’s giving Titane! It got a bit too loopy for me at the end w the frolicking giant situation. But I appreciate the happy ending! Great synthy soundtrack.

  How does it feel… to die?
  I love the voice Robert gives the diff Mickeys. Would’ve never expected for that voice to come out of his mouth. Nasha is a brilliant character.
  I love this poster design.
  There was so much action that the beautiful quirkiness in the beginning didn’t carry all the way through.
  Ruffalo’s acting was just an impersonation that felt out of place.
  The timeline was a bit flip floppy but I didn’t mind. You could tell it was adapted from surreal literature. Just a certain flavor of whimsy + strange details that form, overall, a very fun time :)

  Cinematically well done, disgustingly beautiful. However story wise I was left a bit disappointed. I was expecting a more satisfying ending I suppose. Lily-rose depp was fabulous but I’m conflicted about her character. I wish she was given a heroine or final girl treatment but that was not the case. My main complaint is how they handled her arc. Fav aspects r the haunting lighting, the costuming + hair/makeup and the plague metaphor. However no mention of bats? Willem dafoe plays another mad scientist-like character. Enjoy this rollercoaster of going from rly nasty gross to horny!

  NYFF!! First film festival! And directors talk! A lot of the production crew was there on stage along w director so I esp liked hearing from the costume designer bc she did a fabulous job!! N the visual effects- they used miniatures in some scenes and had to make a whole city on set for other scenes. It was so painterly… it’s giving Tim burton + van gogh? N the composer n sound designer spoke as well, they were like…
