Absolute masterclass in physical comedy by Jerry Lewis. MacLaine shines in all ways. Martin dazzles with his voice and charm. Gabor is the Hungarian cherry on top.

Fucking hil-ar-i-ous.  The timing, the cadence, and the joke tie-ins, all masterful. Will definitely be looking forward to seeing more from this amazing comic.

This is a film that leaves you with more absurd questions than any answers and I love that. It has an almost psychedelic/magical realism feeling to it reminiscent of Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas. The deeper themes of human belonging, fear, barbarism, chimerism, dark humor, and cannibalism are beautifully set against strikingly rich backdrops, each frame looking more like a photograph shot on Portra 800 than a movie still.
