What can I say? I enjoyed my time watching this picture! Unlikely to be one I’m still thinking about in a year, but likely one I’ll watch again in a year.

Don’t wanna spoil anything but if you’re feeling judge-y about the lyrics to “Oo Ee Oo” — as are the “jejune” English faculty at Nondescript U — well … just fucking wait. Also that song, the entire script to this film, and all the acting seem to be done by AI!

Dream Scenario 2023
One of those annoyingly astute commentaries on our times or whatever. The build up is fun and I laughed often when Cage walked into people’s dreams, unassuming and only minimally interested in the absurdity transpiring around him, sometimes looking at the dreamer with a vague and fleeting longing. The advertising stuff at the end was on the nose and the source of “annoyingly” above — but sure that’s probably what would happen and probably what I would’ve written too.
