  Uneven, overly confusing plot. Sounds like the movie has some script issues and it shows.

  Also Peckinpah's last before he died the next year which probably didn't help. Still some great paranoid government vibes and action scenes, car chases and fights - complete with th classic Peckinpah slow motion cross cutting.

  Uneven. Plot feels a bit flimsy and not enought to carry the movie. The main issue is Kristofferson's Cisco also can't carry the movie. Especially surrounded by Hackman (electric in the minimal screen time he has), Harry Dean Stanton, and a terrific Karen Black
