Dr. Strangelove or: How I Learned to Stop Worrying and Love the Bomb 1964
A film I've been meaning to watch for a while....it did not disappoint me. Brilliant acting by Peter Sellers and some really hilarious jokes - "no fighting in the war room" is a particular favourite.

Licorice Pizza 2021
Whilst definitely a departure from his previous work, Licorice Pizza really shows PTA's great filmmaking ability yet again.
Whilst I found it somewhat slow, to begin with (despite the film jumping into action immediately), I was struck by how incredible the cinematography was. The film has great colour throughout and its first moving continuous shots set the tone for how the rest of the film is presented. Like the cinematography in Phantom Thread and The Master, I really cannot praise…

The Handmaiden 2016
This was my first foreign language, subtitled film that I've watched properly, and I was surprised at how natural it felt. Anyway, I'll start talking about the actual film.
