  Great film. Completely on the villains side. I love the slow unfolding of how fucking evil the emperor has been. he seems like a silly old man and then the film slowly undermines this. Loved it.

  I wish the ending hadn't been a thing, the last sequence. But a beautiful exploration of embodying the lover and femininity. Childhood, loss of innocence as positive, an inevitable and important part of seeing the world in grey morality. Great film, lots of interesting things to think about.
