This review may contain spoilers. I can handle the truth.
CIVIL WAR is a frustating and somewhat cowardly film. Alex Garland attempts to show a conflict through the eyes of a group of journalists whose experiences indifferent to the politics of the war as they chase that story and that photograph.

If you looked at Dave Stieb on Wikipedia or Baseball reference or some other website you’d probably think that he was a decent enough pitcher who helped a struggling new franchise begin to compete.
What Jon Bois and Alex Rubenstein make you realise however is that Dave Stieb is one of the Toronto Blue Jays most important players, and perhaps the most underrated pitcher in Major League Baseball history.
The actual emotional response I myself had to Stieb finally pitching a no hitter surprised me, but that’s the power of these two.
Captain Ahab is a must watch for any sports fan.
