  So much of the “mystery” is telegraphed and predictable, but the unpredictability of Gregory’s psychotorture keeps this genuinely suspenseful and unpredictable. 

  Just an all around banger. 

  I’d probably rate it 5 stars if there was more motivation than “jewels” and if there was a bit cleaner reason for Joseph Cotten to become involved.
