Call Me by Your Name 2017
They made me read this in my bookclub and I think it’s dogshit but the final chapter was so good it made me give it four stars. The movie cuts 99% of the final chapter but it does have some really gorg shots of Italy that made me want to spend yet another summer there instead of actually going somewhere new.

I really appreciate a movie that takes advantage of how creepy and unsettling it is when there’s a shot that’s slightly too wide or when the camera lingers on a room for a few extra beats after all the characters have left. I did have one question: why are these people always working in the middle of the night?
