I think that Marley in another universe would definitely give this that extra half star (or Marley in the near future after a rewatch) but the amount of things going on in this was just a bit overwhelming on the first watch to fully and wholly connect with what it was trying to get at.

the little things like the boxes painted to look like the backgrounds instead of using more seamless suspension effects, the on-screen changing of wig and facial hair - things that are a bit frivolous and not strictly necessary, that reveal the workings of movie making just for cleverness' sake - that's the good shit! that's the shit that makes my eye twinkle a little bit!
