This film really captures the essence of post - coup d'etat 80's Turkey, contrasting essentially two unsynthesizable and disconnected worlds.

Hoewel er wel zeer esthetische scenes in de film waren, was de film eerder een samenhang van toneelstukken in plaats van een vloeiende film. Wetende dat er noch een budget noch een professionele cast aanwezig was, kan ik de film niet al te streng bekritiseren.
In almost all aspects, this film can qualify as average. One thing that I can truly comment on is the historical accuracy of the uniforms and setting. The film starts off with Mustafa Kemal as the commanding officer of the Fifth Army during the Battle of Gallipoli, and after an explosion close to his face, the film has chronological flashbacks from his childhood up until his position as the commanders of the 19th Army.
